Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of Idaho. In addition to acknowledging your well-deserved achievement, I want to take this opportunity to assure you of our ongoing support and guidance as you take your next steps as a Vandal!

This year, we have more than 50 National Merit Scholars on campus – among the very highest numbers in the entire region – from the top one percent of the nation’s high school population.

Additionally, we have the largest study abroad program in the state of Idaho and one of the most extensive programs in the U.S. with access to 364 universities in 63 countries. We are recognized annually for our students’ service efforts to America’s communities. And, our caring and adventurous students also spend time in places as far away as Peru, helping children and communities who need their energy and care.

As a Vandal, you will become part of a close-knit, fun and caring community, where learning is part of living. You’ll find yourself challenged in your studies, but that will help you grow in ways you can’t even imagine.
