NIC/UI Joint Admissions Program

If you are a current or prospective North Idaho College (NIC) student who plans to earn a bachelor's degree, we encourage you to take advantage of the University of Idaho/North Idaho College Joint Admission Program. You can earn credits toward your NIC associate degree and your University of Idaho bachelor's degree at the same time, maximize your transfer credits, and make a seamless transfer to the University of Idaho.

  • Access to the University of Idaho’s online degree audit system
  • Degree requirements are locked at the time of joint admission

To gain full benefit of joint admission, students should graduate from their NIC degree program and continue their major course of study at the University of Idaho.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the joint admissions program, you must:

  • Meet NIC and University of Idaho’s undergraduate admissions requirements
  • Begin your program at NIC

How to Apply


As a joint admission student, you must:

  • Remain enrolled at NIC and complete your transfer to the University of Idaho within two years of your joint admission term.
  • Meet University of Idaho undergraduate admission requirements at the time you wish to enroll in University of Idaho courses.
  • Maintain contact with the University of Idaho Coeur d’Alene Center and notify that office of any changes to your student status or intended semester of transfer to the University of Idaho.
  • Complete an Intent to Enroll form (.pdf) at the beginning of your final semester at NIC.
