Cruise the World is an annual event that gives campus and community members the opportunity to experience different cultures while visiting over 30 country booths. There is live entertainment on stage every half hour and delicious sample-sized foods available for purchase.

Tickets are available, at the event, in the Bruce M. Pitman Center.

International Students: Come prepared to participate! If you are an international student getting ready to come to the University of Idaho, don’t forget to pack artifacts so you can represent your country or culture at the largest international event in our region. You will want to participate while you're here in Moscow. Contact ipo@uidaho.edu with any questions.

At the University of Idaho, we celebrate the International Education Week announced by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education during the whole month of November, that is why we like to call it International Education Month. Initiated in 2000, International Education Week (Month) is designed to emphasize the importance of increasing student knowledge and awareness of the world's cultures, peoples and languages, and affirms the critical role that international education and exchange programs play in fostering world peace.

International Education Month is an opportunity to promote the benefits of international education and exchange both worldwide and at the University of Idaho. The week is dedicated to enhancing international awareness across campus as well as to spotlighting the importance of the exchange of students and scholars across borders.

Get involved to learn and to share! Consider sharing your cultural heritage and your unique experience. Attend an event to learn about opportunities to go abroad as a student, an intern, an exchange participant, and as a scholar. Explore the global dynamics of the work world and consider international career paths. Connect with others with curiosity and knowledge of compelling global issues. Reach out to classmates, lab-mates, research collaborators, scholars, friends and neighbors to share together how the exchange of people across borders has added rigor, depth, and humanity to your studies, research, work, and social life.

At the beginning of fall and spring semesters, the campus and community welcome new international students and scholars with a dinner. New students can make connections with faculty, staff, students, and community members at these fun events. For students living in the dorms, this could be your last chance to enjoy home cooked food for several months, so don’t miss out.

International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated internationally on March 8. Please check our calendar for the date UI will celebrate. The celebration is a collaborative effort of International Programs and the Women’s Center. We offer presentations, games, and tabling fairs on a variety of women-related topics. The campus audience can also enjoy performances by women from all over the world.

International Women’s Day celebrates the economic, social, and political achievements of women internationally. It is also an opportunity to learn about the life of women across the world: their traditions, their position in society, the problems they face, and their activism. Join us to honor the women of your country and the women in our lives.

The semi-annual Study Abroad Fair allows University of Idaho students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to interact with both the staff of the Study Abroad Office as well as official study abroad program providers in an easily accessible, face-to-face setting.  Come to learn more about the resources that are available for participants throughout the study abroad process, and the sites that are open for study abroad experiences.  Students of all majors are encouraged to attend, as are faculty and staff members from all parts of the University of Idaho community.

International Programs is proud organizer of two international soccer tournaments during the course of an academic year. In the fall semester, we partner with Washington State University and the Lewis and Clark State College to offer a Tri-School International Soccer Tournament (check out the calendar for the specific date). In the spring, we organize a tournament for University of Idaho international students.

Most of these annual events include dinner and live entertainment on stage. For information, on specific events, contact NSA, JSA, CSSA or ISA through the University of Idaho Student Organization website.
