Language Requirements

A command of the English language is essential to successfully complete ISI courses. Therefore, it is recommended that students whose primary language is not English read the University of Idaho’s language requirements policy if their primary language is not English.

Computer Requirements

Internet access is required or recommended for the majority of ISI courses to view online course guides and other course materials. If you do not have access to the Internet, contact the ISI office to discuss your options. Courses may require access to a computer with a DVD/CD drive and/or word-processing software. For course specific requirements, refer to the course descriptions.

Email Requirements

Email is required for ISI students and proctors to ensure the receipt of important communications from instructors and ISI staff in a timely and consistent manner. Students can choose to use their U-Idaho VandalMail email account or a personal email address.Students are held responsible for all information sent to them by email and for complying with all rules and policies contained in the Email Policy Statement.
