Program Assessment

Program assessment is vital to the continuous improvement of instruction. Building on the university learning outcomes, each program adapts the learning outcomes to their area. Program faculty members identify direct and indirect measures of student learning to assess and aggregate student performance. Student input is gathered from structured interviews, course group, and/or exit conferences to complement these measures. The analysis of data provides the foundation for in-depth discussion of the program and curriculum and strategies to continuously improve student learning based on the assessment results.
