View Roster & Email Students

Class rosters display the students who are currently enrolled in your class and updated immediately as registration changes are made.  The class rosters can also be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet for personal use.  Instructors may also obtain email addresses for all students in one or more of their classes to use for sending notifications and information through their own email accounts.

  7. In the Class List Email Listing window, highlight the entire list of emails by clicking three times in the text or left click at beginning of list and drag to end of list
  8. Copy the highlighted list of email addresses by clicking right mouse button and select Copy option or Ctrl + C on keyboard
  9. Using your own email program (e.g. Outlook) start a new message and using the BCC (blind carbon copy) line, paste the copied email addresses by clicking right mouse button and select Paste option or Ctrl + V on keyboard.  Using the BCC line will protect student email addresses from being displayed to ther recipients of the email.  Although the To line does not require an email address to send the message, you may opt to send a copy to yourself for reference by entering your own email address.

Multiple classes can be emailed at once by repeating the process of copying and pasting at the end of the first string.  Attachments can be added as part of the message through the normal procedure for your email program.
