Removing Holds

All undergraduate students are required to meet with their academic advisor before being allowed to register for classes.  After the meeting, the advisor must remove the hold from the student's record in order to clear them for registration.

How to Remove an Advisor or Probation Hold

  1. Login to VandalWeb
  2. Select Faculty & Advisor Menu
  3. Select Student Menu
  4. Select Advisor/Probation Hold Removal option
  5. Select semester from drop-down list and click Submit button
  6. Enter Student or Advisee ID or search by name (search results require the student to be your advisee or enrolled in at least one class you are teaching)
  7. Confirm selection and click Submit button
  8. Click Submit/Remove Advisor Hold button
Alternatively, the advisor hold may also be removed through the Advisee List option under the Faculty & Advisor Menu.  Advisors may remove the advisor hold from any student by entering their ID number to locate the record; the student does not have to be assigned to you to perform this.

How to Add or Remove Advisees from List

  1. Login to VandalWeb
  2. Select Faculty & Advisor Menu
  3. Selection Advisee List option
  4. Select semester from drop-down list and click Submit button
  5. To add an advisee, enter Student ID number in box and click Add to List button
    To drop an advisee, click Drop From List button
