Plant Material Center - Natural Resources Conservation Services

Plant Material BuildingThe Plant Materials Center (PMC) is part of a national plant materials program operated by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. The purpose of the PMC is to assemble, evaluate, and release new plant materials for use in conservation's plantings. From its location in southeastern Idaho, the PMC serves portions of five states: Idaho, Nevada, Utah, California and Oregon. In cooperation with the University of Idaho the PMC grows and harvests several varieties of grass seed, which is then sold through the Idaho Agricultural Experiment Station Foundation Seed program.
