Moscow, Idaho, U.S.A.

Moscow, a town of about 18,000, is located in the heart of the Palouse region in Northern Idaho. This is a rich agricultural area that enjoys clean air and a generally dry continental climate. The region offers a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities such as fishing, hiking, camping, sailing, skiing, and whitewater rafting in three states: Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. Moscow is located approximately 90 miles south of Spokane, Washington, a city of over 250,000. Both the warmth of various small-town community events and the cultural excitement of a larger city are readily available. In addition, on-campus activities at both the University of Idaho and Washington State University, 8 miles away, contribute greatly to the cultural, athletic, and scientific life of the area.
