Located at the Harbor Center on the shore of Lake Coeur d'Alene, the UI Coeur d'Alene Center offers certificate, undergraduate and degree programs for North Idaho and beyond.
In 2002, UI Coeur d’Alene established offices and some classrooms in Harbor Center, overlooking the Spokane River. The partnership with NIC allows undergraduate students to complete their core requirements at NIC and transfer to the UI system, enabling them to finish classes in their majors close to home.
Baccalaureate degrees in early childhood and elementary education, English, food and nutrition, psychology, as well as numerous specializations are available at the center and online.
Graduate degree programs include educational leadership, rehabilitation and human services, special education and executive Master of Business Administration.
In addition, the Coeur d’Alene center oversees and operates the University of Idaho Research Park in Post Falls and UI Sandpoint. A variety of outreach programs include: a center for training educators to teach mathematics; technology business development and support; geospatial information systems training; a community water resource education and research center; and TRIO, which provides educational services for those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
